From the Red City to the Golden Dunes Your journey begins at 8:00 AM as we depart Marrakech, ascending the High Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2,260 m). After a scenic descent toward Ouarzazate, the "gateway to the desert," we enjoy a traditional lunch in the palm-fringed village of Agdez. In the afternoon, we trace the ancient caravan routes through the Drâa Valley to M’hamid. From here, a 4x4 will whisk you into the sands of Erg Lihoudi. As the sun dips below the horizon, enjoy a camel trek to your comfortable desert bivouac for a traditional dinner under the stars.

Local Insight: The Drâa Valley is a living miracle of irrigation, where fortified pisé villages stand guard over hundreds of hectares of lush, ancient palm groves.

Kasbahs, Canyons, and Caravans Wake to a silent sunrise over the dunes before enjoying breakfast at camp. After a peaceful morning walk in the Sahara, we journey back through the Drâa Valley to the legendary Aït Ben Haddou. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a masterpiece of earthen architecture. Following lunch, we explore the Ounila Valley to reach the Kasbah of Telouet, the opulent former residence of the Pacha Glaoui. We conclude our adventure with a sunset drive back to Marrakech.
